A Green, Open, Space

Tivity is housed in an remodeled bungalow in the heart of historic old Whitefield, a stone’s throw away from Inner Circle Park, Whitefield Club, the Whitefield Church and the inn where Winston Churchill stayed (according to local legend).

The house sits in a lush green compound with trees like mango, jack fruit, bread fruit, chikkoo, gooseberry, neem, palms, and many more.

Our facilities take full advantage of the lush surroundings. We have indoor spaces, outdoor covered spaces and open spaces, all of which are flexible and can be adapted to your course.

Cooking Studio

Our cooking studio is our pride and joy. Flanked on one side by our rainbow string-art walkway and a herb garden (coming soon!) on the other, it can be used both for cooking courses as well as a flexible space. When the kitchen is closed and the cooking equipment is stowed away, it is a flexible open space measuring 19 feet x 50 ft. Open the kitchen doors and the space changes entirely. Our movable cooking counters mean that you can set up the space to meet your needs with classes for up to 30 people. Want a Masterchef style competition? Then line them up in rows. How about a team building exercise or social event? Then put them in a circle. The counters are mounted with Prestige gas stoves with Schott glass tops and Sabaf valves mounted on movable counters. We also have 4 built in domestic gas ovens and an industrial stainless steel kitchen.

Front Workshop

Our front workshop is a flexible covered outdoor space measuring 47 feet x 20 feet.

Outdoor Spaces

We have two outdoor spaces: The courtyard and the garden. The courtyard is an intimate space, lit with fairy lights, with a swing. Ideal for smaller groups or a date night. The garden is larger with flooring of grass and granite pavers. It is shaded by many trees and fabric so it can be used even on the sunniest days. Great for get-togethers, birthday parties and rough work.

Indoor Spaces

There are three indoor spaces: The messy zone, the upstairs classroom and the downstairs classroom. The messy zone was designed for messy activities (very original name, I know). The walls are covered in tiles that are easy to clean. Come in, throw some paint around. We don’t care. The downstairs classroom overlooks the courtyard and garden. Ideal for courses in writing, fabric work, painting, knitting, or anything that requires a few desks. The upstairs classroom is our smallest and most private space and has almost a 360 degree view of tree tops.

Everything else

Because we love our new home so much, here are some more pictures of it. Keep an eye out for our coffee shop, tucked away in a corner (opening soon).
